Back to School

The leaves are falling on the ground: it's time to go Back to School

Hello October! I realise I am a little late on the Back to School post, but to be honest, I am a student and we just don't really get our shit together til end of September... Anyway: I am settled back in Manchester, the days are getting shorter and there are beautiful reddish leaves all over the ground. It can only really mean one thing: it's time to leave summer behind (never fear, I still have a few travelling posts up my sleeve) and start a new University year.

To be honest, I'm really excited to get back into a routine, enjoy my new lovely house and get back into my studies. Very uncharacteristically, Manchester has given us some beautiful autumnal days to enjoy before the clouds and cold arrive - I hope these pictures (and some more coming in a different post) capture this a little. The weather has to a certain extent not at all helped me deal a little bit better with not being at Paris Fashion Week - but it has still been tugging at my heartstrings and more than once I have felt like turning off Instagram (big deal) altogether for the week. Thankfully the big ones are now drawing to a close; but to be honest, there are still gems like Sao Paolo Fashion Week to come and, if you know me even a little bit, you know that I have an unhealthy obsession with Brazil. So really it's just not over at all is it. Sigh.

Over to the clothes. I bought all these pieces on my short stay back at home between travels and University. Check out photos of what I wore on my shopping day here. Initially, I was slightly hesitant of these short jumpers because my stomach is my least liked area so I thought it would accentuate it. However, once I tried it on I felt that the shirt sort of disguises the area anyway so it's just a fun new shape to play around with. I am completely in love with these shorts - they are SO flattering and have a really cute zip in the front (cheeky secret: I didn't realise til the end of the shoot that I was wearing them the wrong way round! Luckily you can't tell).
All in all, just a way to feel comfortable and practical yet still appearing smart while doing my day-to-day things. Comfort and smartness are my absolute musts in any clothes.
