Women of the World Festival: Chimamanda's talk

On the 11th of March Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie spoke at the Women of the World festival. I was lucky enough to get tickets to this event, and listened to her spout words of wisdom for 1h30 (full post on my thoughts/ reflections on that in a later post).

If you're interested in listening to the full talk, this is the best version I have found online: HERE

Chimamanda was promoting her newest book, Dear Ijeawele, Or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions (Amazon link). As Piece by Piece transforms, I see it as a resource from which to be inspired to talk, read, listen and watch. My copy of this book is currently in the post, so a review of it will be coming soon.

Piece by Piece is a platform focussed specifically on women in their early 20s - although of course everyone is welcome! - to find inspiration, advice, tips and guidance to career, direction, confidence, community and reassurance.

It is a blog where anyone can contribute, and the more voices that appear on here the better. If you'd like to get involved - in more ways than just writing - we'd love to hear from you. Check out the contact page for all our channels.

  2. Fashion for women has dependably been limited to the demure and appropriate, the thin cuts, the some way or another held, the adorable, petite and even ranges to the mind boggling, lavish and excessive. In Style women
